Nearly 1,000 students from more than 30 Polish schools in 13 countries around the world participate in a special lesson on economic education from a Polish school in Tokyo.
Thanks to modern technology, Polish students from all over the world were able to expand their knowledge of globalisation - its good and bad sides, opportunities and challenges - at one time. This was one of the first educational activities of the Warsaw Banking Institute aimed at Polish schools - a project which, drawing on the experience of the Year of Economic Education 2024, together with the Polish Senate, will be developed in the coming years.
The lesson was led by Professor Witold Orłowski. The introduction was given by Barbara Janina Sochal president of the Polish Janusz Korczak Association, Karolina Tanno, president of the RAZEM Polish Association and Mateusz Zając from the Warsaw Institute of Banking.
In addition, a stationary workshop for students was held at a Polish Saturday school in Tokyo run by the RAZEM Polish Association. Thanks to the workshop, participants became better acquainted with the figure and legacy of Janusz Korczak, listened to the book Adventures of Entrepreneurial Jack and learned about the principles of saving money based on knowledge from Korczak's book.
The workshops were led by Barbara Janina Sochal president of the Polish Janusz Korczak Association, Julia Lisiecka from the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association and Mateusz Zając from the Warsaw Institute of Banking.
